Where the law firm offer a “No Win, No Fee” *** service – you pay nothing unless your claim is successful. If your claim succeeds, their fee is typically 30 % plus VAT of the compensation amount. You have 14 days from signing the agreement to cancel your agreement with the solicitor without any charge, however a cancellation charge may apply if you cancel outside of the 14-day cooling off period, for more information please see your Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) or speak to your solicitor. We may receive a fee for introducing you to a independent panel solicitor; this does not reduce the amount of compensation you receive.
You have the right to pursue your claim yourself by contacting your lender directly, or by referring your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service for free. You may also be eligible under any industry-wide redress scheme the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) may introduce in the future. Although the solicitor to whom we recommend will act to secure the maximum redress possible, they cannot guarantee you will obtain a greater amount than what you might achieve if you pursued the claim on your own.
